Fundación Patronato Universitario offers three different types of assistance:

– Repayable aid acts as bridging support to cover extraordinary expenses or initial investment at critical moments. Repayment deadlines are established, but on the understaning that repayment can be expedited if beneficiaries are in a position to do so earlier. The Foundation aims to make this process as smooth and accessible as possible by adapting to each person’s individual circumstances.

– Study aid is essential for international students seeking enrichment through educational and training programs. The commitment to receiving this aid is to repay it once their studies are completed, thereby perpetuating the support cycle.

– Non-repayable aid: This represents a gesture of trust and solidarity, offering resources definitively to address needs that are both essential and impossible to repay due to the beneficiaries’ particular circumstances of financial hardship.

Since its inception, the Fundación Patronato Universitario has established clear criteria for aid, which always motive the beneficiaries’ initiative. They are encouraged to demonstrate their commitment and effort with viable and appropriate projects, and technical assistance is provided throughout the process to ensure the consistency and viability of each initiative.

Additionally, the Foundation has several programs to meet different needs:

This program supports and enhances the transformative power of reading by providing libraries in cultural centers, student residences, and associations. It ensures that reading, -an essential prerequisite for understanding, sensitivity, and tolerance – is not restricted by financial constraints.

Designed for students with outstanding academic records in student residences or similar institutions. Fundación Patronato Universitario recognizes and rewards effort and dedication to achieve academic excellence by redeeming the funding they had to request to cover residence expenses.

Facilitates the participation of students with excellence academic records and limited resources in cultural and formative activities during the summer, providing scholarships to ensure their access and personal development.

Supports students who devote themselves, after completing their university studies funded by loans, to unpaid or low-paid social activities after completing their university studies funded by loans. A progressive redemption plan is offered for over a period of six years to encourage their continued social commitment.

Provides non-repayable co-financing for the improvement and adaptation of facilities in educational centers, student residences, and other institutions, improving in this way the cultural and academic environment of the community.
